Brigadier General STEVEN M. GORSKI

Brig. Gen. Steven M. Gorski is the Director of Intelligence, United States Forces Korea and the Deputy Director of Intelligence, Combined Forces Command, Camp Humphreys, South Korea. In these roles he ensures the intelligence requirements of the USFK, CFC and United Nations Command Commander and his staff are satisfied in a timely manner by leading and managing the J2/C2 Directorate staff, interorganizational relationships, and intelligence assets in support of command strategies, plans, and campaigns to deter aggression, defend the ROK, and maintain stability in Northeast Asia.

Brig. Gen. Gorski received his commission in 1996 from the U.S. Air Force Academy. His career as an intelligence officer spans the strategic, operational and tactical levels of war with an extensive background in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. He commanded at the wing, group and squadron levels and served as the Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. Brig. Gen. Gorski's operational tours include operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Allied Force, as well as participating in several global contingency operations.
