Brigadier General WILLIAM L. MARSHALL

Brig. Gen. William L. Marshall is the Deputy Director of Operations, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration and the United States Air Forces in Europe and United States Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA A3/10) AOC Director. In this position, he assists the Director with oversight of the tactical nuclear enterprise, operational planning and execution, combat training and readiness, command and control policy, as well as the 603rd Air Operations Center. Additionally, he provides direction and guidance to Global Force Management and Air Expeditionary Force requirements for the Commander. Prior to assuming his current position, Brig. Gen. Marshall was the Vice Commander of 3rd Air Force.

Brig. Gen. Marshall entered the Air Force in 1997 after commissioning from ROTC at Virginia Tech. He then entered Navigator training and became an F-15E Weapon System Officer. Brig. Gen. Marshall has commanded at the wing, group and squadron levels while also serving at the Air Warfare Center, U.S. Air Forces Central, Air Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense staff levels.

Brig. Gen. Marshall has flown in support of operations Enduring Freedom, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve. He has more than 650 hours of combat in the F-15E.
