Brigadier General STEPHEN E. SLADE 

Brig. Gen. Stephen E. Slade is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. As Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, he is responsible for assisting in the generation, presentation and sustainment of U.S. Space Force combat-ready space, cyberspace, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and combat support forces. Additionally, he assists the commander in his service force provider role to the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Space Operations for sourcing, training, certifying and assessing the readiness of America’s Space Forces to execute service and combatant commander-assigned missions.

Brig. Gen. Slade commissioned in August 1993 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Utah State University. He has served in a variety of active-duty space and missile operations and staff positions, including Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile and Milstar operations squadrons, a test squadron and United States Strategic Command. Transitioning to the Air Force Reserve in 2005, Brig. Gen. Slade has served in multiple joint commands and on the Air Staff. Recalled to active duty in 2009, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the Expeditionary Cyber Support Element officer-in-charge, Deputy Chief of Staff Communication, International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.

Prior to assuming his current position, Brig. Gen. Slade served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Operations (J3), U.S. Space Command, Peterson SFB, Colorado.
