Brigadier General MICHAEL J. ZUHLSDORF

Brig. Gen. Mike Zuhlsdorf is the Deputy Director, Resource Integration, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Force, the Pentagon. He oversees planning, programming, and budgeting of $40 billion dollars in weapons systems sustainment, logistics and installation resource requirements. As part of the Air Force Corporate Structure, he monitors performance of operations and maintenance, works capital funds and investment programs, participates in program review groups, and advocates for financial adjustments to optimize force readiness. He also develops enterprise logistics information technology vision, strategy, policy, innovation and transformation to advance logistics capabilities to enable Airmen and Guardians to meet global Joint Force needs.

Brig. Gen. Zuhlsdorf enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1986, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He then entered the Airman Scholarship and Commissioning Program in 1994 where he graduated and commissioned in 1997 as a Distinguished Graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps through the College of Civil Engineering. He has served in a variety of positions to include the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Headquarters Air Force, Headquarters Space Force, major command and base level. He is a National Defense University Eisenhower School graduate and an Air Force Fellow in the Strategic Policy Intern program. He is a graduated Joint Base and Wing Commander, two-time Mission Support Group Commander, two-time Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, and has deployed four times in support of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
