Brigadier General KEVIN V. DOYLE

Brig. Gen. Kevin V. Doyle is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa. Brig. Gen. Doyle is responsible for advising the Commander, USAFE-AFAFRICA, on air and space operations including missile defense to three combatant commanders spanning three continents and 104 countries throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He also leads the command's engagements with the National Guard State Partnership Program.

Brig. Gen. Doyle earned his commission as a distinguished graduate in 1989 through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. He then completed Undergraduate Navigator Training at Mather Air Force Base, California, and F-4 Replacement Training Unit at George AFB, California. Brig. Gen. Doyle was selected to attend Euro-North Atlantic Treaty Organization Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard AFB, Texas, prior to attending F-16 training at McConnell AFB, Kansas. Brig. Gen. Doyle is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons Instructor Course (F-16) with more than 4,000 flying hours in the F-16, A-10C, F-4E, AT/T-38, and T-37, including more than 128 combat missions, totaling more than 400 combat hours. His career spans 39 years and includes service as both an Air Force officer and an enlisted Marine.

Prior to assuming his current position, the general served as the Air National Guard Assistant to Commander, Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region - 1st Air Force (Air Forces Northern), Tyndall AFB, Florida; North American Aerospace Defense Command Deputy Combined Forces Air Component Commander; Chief of Staff for the Indiana Air National Guard and in a variety of unit command and headquarters positions with both the Ohio and Indiana National Guard. Throughout his career, he has participated in military operations to include the Pacific Air Forces Theater Security Plan and Operations Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
