Brigadier General DAVID S. MILLER

Brig. Gen. David S. Miller is the Director of Logistics and Engineering, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. As director, he leads more than 350 professionals across 9 divisions, and is responsible for integrating strategy, policy, resources, performance management and human capital development in support of over 12,800 maintenance, munitions, supply, logistics, transportation and civil engineering personnel who serve throughout the command. He is responsible for integration, advocacy and oversight of the nation’s largest nuclear weapons storage facility, and performs lead command functions for B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles, UH-1N and MH-139 helicopter fleets, the E-4B National Airborne Operations Center and the Nuclear Command, Control & Communication weapons system. Brig. Gen. Miller provides combatant commanders with combat ready forces and equipment to conduct strategic nuclear deterrence and global strike operations.

Brig. Gen. Miller received his commission through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program at the University of Nebraska. He has previously held a variety of staff positions, to include working in a Numbered Air Force, Headquarters Air Force, Combatant Command and Office of the Secretary of Defense. In addition, he commanded the 18th Munitions Squadron, 341st Maintenance Group and most recently the 377th Air Base Wing at Kirtland Air Force Base. He is a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and holds two additional master’s degrees from The George Washington University and Air War College.
