Dr. Jillian T. Watson, a member of the Senior Executive Service, serves as the Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection (A4), Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. In this role, she provides strategic leadership of resourcing and policy for base operating functions and infrastructure, aircraft and equipment fleet management in support of the training enterprise. The Directorate provides maintenance, supply, transportation, civil engineering, and security forces support for 1,200 aircraft, 300,000 annual student load, 62,000 permanently assigned personnel, and 10 Air Force installations.
Prior to this assignment, Dr. Watson served as the Director, Air Force Metrology and Calibration, AFLCMC/WNM, Heath, Ohio. Dr. Watson began her Air Force career in June 2000 as a Palace Acquire Intern performing logistics management for the HH-60G in the Special Operations Forces System Program Office, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. She has served in a diverse set of assignments including Logistics Management Specialist at Headquarters Air Force, Air Logistics Center, and program office levels, as well as at Headquarters, Defense Logistics Agency. She has Joint program experience as Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics for F-35A at the Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office as well as serving in acquisition program manager and financial management roles at the United States Transportation Command.
