Brigadier General GREGORY R. LEWIS

​​Brig. Gen. Gregory R. “REDDOG” Lewis​ is ​the Vice Director, Operations and Force Development​ at ​Operations Directorate, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.​ He is responsible for the planning, coordination and integration of all aspects of National Guard activities relating to Domestic Operations at the national level. Specifically, he provides oversight of the National Guard Bureau's Coordination Center, Current Operations, Cyber Strategy and Plans, Future Operations, as well as the Provost Marshal, Logistics, Engineering and Protection Divisions.

Brig. Gen. Lewis received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and graduated from The University of Alabama in 1997. He is a Master Air Battle Manager with more than 3,500 total flying hours in the E-3, E-767 and E-8, including over 410 combat hours. He has flown in support of operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle and U.S. Pacific Command Theater Support. He has also previously commanded at the squadron and wing equivalent. Prior to his current position, Brig. Gen. Lewis was the Director of the Joint Action Control Office, ​National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, the Pentagon.​
