Brigadier General CATHERINE V. BARRINGTON

Brig. Gen. Cathy Barrington is the Director, Global Power Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She is responsible for the direction, planning and programming of more than 150 Air Force, joint service, and international programs to include the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, Next Generation Air Dominance, Minuteman Ill, B-1, B-2, B-52, E-4B NAOC, NC3, Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile, Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, B61, Long Range Standoff and Sentinel programs with a $22 billion annual budget.

Brig. Gen. Barrington graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in May 1997. A career missileer with operations and maintenance experience, she has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels, including leadership of the 319th Missile Squadron, 91st Operations Group, and 90th Missile Wing.

Her staff assignments include tours at Twentieth Air Force, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, and Headquarters Air Force. Her joint duty experience includes service on the Joint Staff in the National Military Command Center and as a division chief. Prior to her current position, she was the Principal Military Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of War.
