Mr. Francisco Salguero, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of Enterprise Information Technology within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Salguero leads department-wide information technology strategy, policy, management, resourcing, and governance for a $28.9 billion IT portfolio, and the development of a 12,400 civilian cyber workforce, delivering warfighting capability to 680,000 Air Force, Space Force and combatant command global users.
Prior to his current role, he was the Chief Information Officer and Deputy Director of Plans and Integration (AF/A1X), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Department of the Air Force.
He provided policy, guidance and oversight for the development of plans and the design of future human resource systems to ensure availability of personnel services for the Air Force and Space Force.
He was responsible for the talent management domain IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture, including data centers and common IT enterprise services directly affecting more than 100 IT systems for more than 1 million users.
Mr. Salguero has more than 25 years of information technology experience that includes 16 years in federal service. He held several key senior executive positions, including digital transformation executive within Salesforce's Global Public Sector, Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development, USDA Deputy Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Officer at the Federal Communications Commission.
