ASHLEY N. DEVOTO

Ms. Ashley Devoto is the Chief Information Officer for the Department of the Air Force, which comprises both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. In this role, she leads four core directorates—Enterprise Information Technology, Data and Artificial Intelligence, Business Systems and Cybersecurity and supports 20,000 cyber operations and support personnel globally with an IT portfolio valued at $17 billion. Ms. Devoto oversees the Department’s IT investment strategy, shaping enterprise policies from network infrastructure to cloud computing, data management, digital transformation and information assurance. She is charged with ensuring that the Department’s technology, data, cybersecurity and digital investments are governed as an integrated enterprise; aligned to mission priorities; accountable for cost, schedule, performance and risk; and capable of providing Airmen and Guardians the secure, resilient digital foundation required to maintain decision and operational advantage.

Ms. Devoto brings nearly two decades of executive leadership experience across cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and large-scale organizational transformation spanning multiple industries and both public and private sectors. Prior to her federal service, she served as Chief Information Security Officer for large enterprises, where she led full-scale cybersecurity program transformations to build cyber resilience for enterprises. Her distinguished career includes technology and cyber roles at EY, Bank of America, Booz Allen Hamilton and Discount Tire. Across these roles, she built high-performing teams to defend complex global operations —from manufacturing and supply chains to financial networks — against advanced persistent cyber threats.

In addition to her extensive private sector experience, Ms. Devoto is a 17-year veteran of the Air Force cyber community and served as a cyber operations officer in both Active Duty and the Air Force Reserve. Her time in uniform gives her a deep understanding of the Department's mission, culture, operational realities, and what it takes to support the warfighter.
