Brig. Gen. Roland C. Tsui is the Mobilization Assistant to the J5, Director of Strategic Planning and Policy, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. He is responsible for advising J5 and Commander on military, political, economic and strategic policies. He develops, coordinates, and implements Theater Strategy, Campaign Plan, Theater Posture Plan, Operational and Contingency Plans. In addition, he coordinates defense related policy, security cooperation and military assistance programs across the Pacific region.
Brig. Gen. Tsui was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1996. He is a Command Pilot with multiple assignments flying the KC-135 aircraft including command tours at the squadron, group and wing levels. He also served in the Pacific as the Air and Space Advisor Team Director, Joint Training Team, Taipei, Taiwan.
Brig. Gen. Tsui has served on 13 contingency and combat deployments supporting Operations Desert Storm/Thunder, Noble Anvil, Joint Forge, Iraqi/Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, Unified Protector and Inherent Resolve. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Tsui was the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
