Brig. Gen. Jason M. Grandy is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Current Operations, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. The directorate’s three divisions and one Field Operating Agency, Air Force Operations Group, are responsible for policy, guidance and oversight of Air Force current operations and readiness. The directorate provides time-sensitive situational awareness and analysis to Air Force senior leaders and links world-wide operations with core Air Force processes to enable global vigilance, reach and power.
Brig. Gen. Grandy is a 1999 graduate of Clemson University where he received his commission through the Air Force ROTC program. He is a Command Pilot with global combat flying experience in operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Freedom’s Sentinel, Copper Dune, New Dawn, Jukebox Lotus and Jupiter Garret. Brig. Gen. Grandy transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in 2009 and has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Grandy was the Commander, 919th Special Operation Wing where he led over 1,700 Citizen Air Commandos and was responsible for preparing them for worldwide missions in support of joint and coalition special operations.
