Todd L. Remington, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible for comprehensive plans and policies covering all life cycles of military and civilian personnel management to ensure delivery of fully qualified, ready Airmen for the joint warfighter while also meeting the needs of Airmen and their families. He oversees the execution and programming of the Manpower, Personnel and Services portfolio with an annual $47 billion personnel budget for 685,000 military and civilian total force Airmen. As Chair of the Civilian Force Development Panel, he plans, directs and evaluates programs to ensure a qualified, productive and well-maintained workforce of over 183,000 civilian employees.
Mr. Remington served in the Air Force and in the Air National Guard for 22 years before retiring from the Air Force and beginning his civil service career in 2007. He has held senior leadership roles across Headquarters Air Force, Headquarters Space Force, Air Force Special Operations Command and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
Prior to his current position, he served as the Associate Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Personnel, Headquarters U.S. Space Force, providing guidance and oversight for force structure analysis, personnel programs, civilian personnel, readiness, senior officer matters, quality force issues, equal opportunity, and family support for military and civilian personnel located at 175 locations worldwide in support of the Space Force’s space launch, space surveillance, missile warning and satellite command and control operations.
