Brig. Gen. David M. Skalicky is the Director of the F-35 Integration Office at Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He advises the Secretary of the Air Force and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force on the multi-billion-dollar F-35 program and engages with the Offices of the Secretary of War, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, the other services, Air Force Major Commands, partner and customer nation representatives to advance operational capabilities and sustainment needs of the F-35.
Prior to his current position, Brig. Gen. Skalicky was the Commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He attended Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard AFB, Texas, and has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, group, and wing levels, including as Commander of Air Combat Command’s F-22 Demonstration Team, Chief of Wing Safety, Commander of the 90th Fighter Squadron and Commander of the 354th Operations Group. He has deployed and commanded multiple times in the U.S. Pacific Command and U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility and served on Air Combat Command’s Inspector General staff and on the Joint Staff as the Force Application Division Chief.
Brig. Gen. Skalicky commissioned in 1999 from the University of Minnesota’s Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He also holds a Masters’ Degree in International Relations from Webster University and a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College.
Brig. Gen. Skalicky is a combat-experienced Command Pilot with more than 2,900 hours in the F-35A, F-22A, and F-15C/D.
