MAJOR GENERAL STEVEN L. BASHAM

Maj. Gen. Steven L. Basham is the Director, Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Va. The Directorate is the liaison between the Air Force and Congress on all programs, air and space weapons systems and issues such as legislative and constituent inquiries. General Basham collaborates directly with the House of Representatives and Senate to ensure full authorization of the Air Force's $145 billion annual budget. General Basham also prepares the Secretary, or Chief of Staff of the Air Force and other senior Air Force leaders for engagements and testimonies on Capitol Hill.

General Basham was commissioned in 1989 through Officer Training School. He has completed numerous flying, staff and command assignments and is a command pilot with more than 3,400 flying hours in the B-1, B-2 and B-52.
