MAJOR GENERAL DAWN M. DUNLOP

Maj. Gen. Dawn M. Dunlop is the Director, Operational Capability Requirements, Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy, Integration and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this position, she leads a team of more than 100 military, civilian and contractor personnel and is responsible for establishing operational capability-based requirements policy and supporting major command requirements and future Air Force modernization programs. These programs include fighters, bombers, mobility aircraft, space systems, command and control, munitions, missile defense, cyber as well as a range of future cross-domain networked capabilities. Maj. Gen. Dunlop is the Air Force focal point for requirements policy and engagement with the Joint Requirement Oversight Council.

Maj. Gen. Dunlop is a 1988 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. She has multiple operational and fighter test assignments to include command at the squadron, wing and multi-national Force Command levels. Her staff assignments include Chief, Air Force F-35 Integration Office; Chief of Air Force Senate Liaison and Special Assistant to the Secretary of Energy as a White House Fellow. Prior to this assignment, Maj. Gen. Dunlop was a Special Assistant to the Air Force Vice Chief of Staff.

Maj. Gen. Dunlop is a command pilot with more than 3,500 flying hours, primarily in the F-22, F-15C, F-15E, T-38, F-16 and NE-3A. Her combat time was in the F-15E during Operation Provide Comfort.
