Brig. Gen. Barry R. Cornish is Deputy Director for Operations, Operations Team Two, National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center. General Cornish plans and directs the actions for a Joint Staff officer/enlisted operations team that performs worldwide monitoring, crisis action, strategic nuclear and current operational watch functions.
General Cornish entered the Air Force in 1990 as a distinguished graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He earned his wings at the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He has served as an instructor pilot, weapons officer, operational test pilot and operations officer, and he has commanded at the squadron and wing level. General Cornish is a command pilot with more than 2,300 flying hours and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School.
