Ralph Cantrell provides oversight to engineering programs supporting the United States Air Force Test Center, and its 412th Test Wing, headquartered at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The Air Force Test Center, at Edwards AFB, is an enterprise of more than 9,000 personnel who are responsible for the developmental test and evaluation of experimental and research, manned and unmanned air, space, and cyber systems for military services, to include NASA. During his tenure at the Air Force Test Center, Mr. Cantrell has held positions as Chief of Engineering and Construction (Public Works), Senior Professional Civil Engineer (Public Works), and Environmental Engineering and Compliance Officer, Air Force Environmental Protection Directorate.

Prior to his assignment at the Air Force Test Center, Mr. Cantrell served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a commissioned officer. He is a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Kent State University. As a career Corps of Engineer Officer, Mr. Cantrell served as Commanding Officer, of numerous Army units ranging from Platoon Leader (Berlin Brigade) to Battalion Commander (Pacific Basin). Additionally, Mr. Cantrell was selected by the Chief of Engineers of the United States Army for senior staff positions in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Japan Engineering District (JED). He was also selected to serve with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ European and Pacific Ocean Divisions. He culminated a distinguished and decorated, military career as a Colonel assigned to Commander in Chief Pacific Command (USPACOM-Joint) Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was responsible for promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful commercial development within the Asia-Pacific Region, and managing demining operations in South East Asia.

Mr. Cantrell is a native Tennessean. He serves on the Board of Elders at the Chapel at Edwards Air Force Base and is an active fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project in Southern California.
