BRIGADIER GENERAL MARTIN A. CHAPIN

Brig. Gen. Martin A. Chapin is the Combined Joint Logistics Branch Chief, Resolute Support Headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan. As Branch Chief, he is responsible for providing coalition forces with comprehensive logistics solutions in the most effective and efficient manner possible, directly supporting the NATO mission to provide security force assistance to enable credible and capable Afghan Security Institutions including the Afghan National Defense Security Forces.

Prior to assuming his current position, General Chapin has held a variety of operational, command and staff assignments to include command of the 458th Airlift Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, the 621st Contingency Response Wing, at both Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, and Travis AFB, California and Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. His staff assignments include Air Mobility Command and U.S. Transportation Command.

General Chapin received his commission as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Oregon State University in June 1990. He is a senior pilot with more than 2,400 flying hours in the T-37B, T-38A, C-5A/B/C and C-21A.
