Mentoring is a relationship in which knowledge and skills are shared between members in a way in which everyone benefits. Often a more senior person is mentoring a junior person, but mentorship can happen between any two individuals. Mentoring will help Airmen and Guardians discover their strengths by achieving their full potential through a structured, trusting mentoring relationship.

On July 15th, Airmen of the 616th Operations Center welcomed their new commander, Colonel Justin P. Mokrovich, and bid farewell to their outgoing commander, Colonel James F. Weaver at a change of command ceremony held here at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Mokrovich comes to the 616th Operations Center after having served, as Director of Cyberspace Forces Ninth Air Force, Air Forces Central, in Southwest Asia.

In his remarks, Mokrovich praised the airmen of 616th Operations Center stating that our airmen develop kinetic and non-kinetic strikes in combination using all of Information Warfare to get after the adversary.

The outgoing commander, Colonel Weaver, will be departing to Scott AFB, Illinois as the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Director for Air Mobility Command.

For 16th Air Force (Air Forces Cyber), I am Manuel Garcia.
