Mentoring is a relationship in which knowledge and skills are shared between members in a way in which everyone benefits. Often a more senior person is mentoring a junior person, but mentorship can happen between any two individuals. Mentoring will help Airmen and Guardians discover their strengths by achieving their full potential through a structured, trusting mentoring relationship.

On 19 April 2019 the U.S. Army Reserve had a ceremony to open their new modular small arms range (MSAR). Brig. Gen. Douglas F. Anderson,Commanding General, 9th Mission Support Command, hosted the ceremony and provided remarks. During the ceremony the building was blessed by Reverend Iasepi Ulu from the Congregation Christian Church of American Samoa - Fagatogo. Following the ceremony the public was invited inside to tour the new range. This new range allows soldiers stationed on American Samoa to qualify on their island instead of fliying to Hawaii. This allows these Soldiers to stay at home with their families. The MSAR is encased in rubber ballistic materiel fastened to plywood with an air gap and finally AR50 steel.

Also included in the Broll package is a memorandum of understanding signing with local law enforcement allowing them use of the range when the Army Reserve is not using it.
