Sparks Fly

Sparks bounce off the floor as Tech. Sgt. Joseph Martinek grinds a landing gear mount March 4, 2011, on a C-118 Liftmaster that is being restored by active-duty and Reserve Airmen and civilians at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Sergeant Martinek is a metals technology specialist with the 305th Maintenance Squadron. Liftmasters were the first cargo airplanes stationed at JB McGuire and helped the base to define its role as an air mobility gateway.
