Horseback riding treats PTSD
Maj. Laurie Abney pulls the face of Blue, a riding horse, into hers during a moment of relaxation at the Hopes and Dreams Riding Facility July 31, 2010, in Quitman, Ga. The Hopes and Dreams Riding Facility is a therapeutic horseback riding program and is an activity which has been proven to help relieve symptoms of brain trauma and stress-related disorders in many people, including combat veterans.
