Airman finds peace in desert playing hockey
After working a 12-hour shift, Tech. Sgt. Wayland J. Baker is ready to hit the "ice." The father of six is serving a four-month deployment in support of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. After a long day driving vehicles on the hot tarmac he enjoys playing solitaire hockey. The Corinth, N.Y., native deployed from the 116th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is assigned to the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron.
