Creative therapy, fighting spirit help one child 'rise up'
Erin Pelton, age 13, rides a horse during a weekly therapy session at Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Erin has dystonic cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder. The therapy helps encourage independence and has helped Erin walk, as her left foot tends to roll inward and her right foot drags. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Amanda Delisle)
