USDA, BASH saving lives, money

The Bird and wildlife, Aircraft Strike Hazard program preserves warfighting capabilities through the reduction of wildlife hazards to aircraft operations. According to the Air Force Safety Center, during fiscal year 2016 the Air Force had more than 4,000 wildlife strikes to aircraft resulting in more than $20.6 million in damage.
