Department-Level Exercise (DLE) Series 

Through this series, the Department of the Air Force is preparing to be a stronger, more lethal deterrent force, to provide an advantage against competitors and adversaries across all domains, and to ensure regional stability in the Indo-Pacific and beyond. 

 

The DLE series will incorporate multiple command exercises into one overall threat deterrence scenario, including Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC), Resolute Space, Mobility Guardian, Emerald Warrior and Bamboo Eagle 25-3.  

It will also integrate multiple allies and partners in specific component exercises with shared interests. Partner integration is critical to U.S. efforts to ensure regional and global peace and stability and provides a decisive advantage against complex threats.

U.S. Army Soldiers from Alpha Company, 876th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, breach and clear rooms during the Engineer Thunder 2025 exercise in Lithuania on Sept. 11, 2025. Engineer Thunder 2025 is a biennial NATO multinational exercise in Lithuania, established in 2013, which has since grown to include more than 1,000 participants from Lithuania, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the United States of America. During Day 2 of Engineer Thunder 2025, U.S. Army Soldiers from Alpha Company, along with the Estonian Defense Forces and Lithuanian Land Forces, conducted joint exercises for breaching and clearing buildings, highlighting the strength and strategic value of international partnerships and advancing convergence through integrated engineering efforts.
