Application window opens for Olympic hopefuls
Airman 1st Class Tyler Evans, stationed at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., is a modern pentathlete and member of the Air Force World Class Athlete Program, training for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. The application window for Airmen, Guardians, Reservists and Guardsmen, as A1C Evans, who dream of Olympic competition, is now open. Once accepted into the program, athletes train full-time for the chance to represent the DAF and the nation on the world stage. (U.S. Air Force Graphic)

Ideas wanted for 2022 AFIMSC Innovation Rodeo; at least $1M up for grabs
The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center kicked off its fourth annual Innovation Rodeo with a call-for-topics campaign starting March 11. The campaign, open through June 6, gives military and civilian members of mission support groups around the world a chance to win part of $1 million in funding and resources to pursue their ideas. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard senior leaders discuss capabilities and challenges in a panel during the Air Force Association’s Warfare Symposium in Orlando on March 4. Maj. Gen. John P. Healy, deputy to the chief of the Air Force Reserve, Lt. Gen. Michael A. Loh, director of the Air National Guard, and Maj. Gen. In 2021, almost 800 artists submitted more than 1,000 pieces of art using a variety of media. Artists may submit up to two, digital photographs of their two-dimensional (2D) painting or drawing, in one of five categories, for judging.
