P-51 Mustang (Drawing) "Hurry Home Honey". The 357th Fighter Group shot down 595 enemy aircraft during World War II including 18.5 Me 262 German fighter jets. Capt. Richard "Pete" Peterson was an ace with the 364th Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group. He scored the bulk of his kills (15.5 air to air) during the last nine months of the war. Capt. Peterson flew three different Mustangs during the war and they were all named "Hurry home Honey". This name was the phase his wife used to close each of her letters to him during the war.
