The Apollo 15 poster is the fourth poster in the U.S. Air Force 75th Anniversary series and represents the 1970s era. With an all-Air Force crew comprised of Col. David R. Scott, Lt. Col. James B. Irwin and Maj. Alfred M. Worden, Apollo 15 blasted off from Cape Kennedy Space Center, Fla., July 26, 1971. Many people look back on this mission as the most scientifically important lunar trip since the first landing. Innovation remains an integral part of how the Air Force trains and employs its squadrons, develops capabilities, and moves toward an even more effective Air Force.
