Air Force civilians interested in developmental education programs can sit in on a March webcast tailored to their grade and the opportunities available, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced.

Webcasts will be conducted at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on March 8 for GS-12 and GS-13 employees as well as March 15, 21 and 29 for GS-7 through GS-11 employees.

Webcasts will include information about programs available for each grade group, as well as instructions on the new submission process implemented this year, said Joan Gudinas, the AFPC civilian developmental education program manager.

"It's important that civilians interested in CDE log in to one of the sessions, even if they have applied in the past," Gudinas said. "The application submission process has changed significantly this year and we want to ensure everyone understands the changes."

To join a webcast, employees can go to https://connect.dco.dod.mil/dpiwebcast. Registered users will enter their username and password. Others can log in as a guest and provide their full name and base.

"You can log in 45 minutes before the webcast begins and, because of technical issues, entry may be blocked after the webcast begins or when the maximum number of viewers has joined," Gudinas said. "So don't wait until the last minute to log in or you may have to wait for the next session."

Application packages are due May 1, so those interested should plan to sit in on a webcast to make sure they are able to complete and submit their applications using the new submission process.
