(AFNS) -- An NCO assigned to NATO's strategic command was named the 2009 Junior Military Member of the Year. Staff Sgt. Sharica Jenkins-Hill, an Air Force knowledge operations manager for the Allied Command Transformation, provides administrative support to the futures, capabilities, research and technology branch. Sergeant Jenkins-Hill contributed greatly to the success of their branch and ACT, said French air force Lt. Col. Jean Francois Calmels, the branch head for FCRT. "Sergeant Jenkins-Hill coordinated and provided superb administrative assistance to numerous conferences, workshops and meetings," Colonel Calmels said. "Some of them were highly visible conferences including Industry Day and the Joint Urban Operations Workshop. Industry Day 2009 was a major event for FCRT and the command group had total confidence in her abilities to undertake tasks of superior importance." She shows tremendous interpersonal skills and an excellent sense of initiative that has created an excellent working atmosphere within FCRT, Colonel Calmels said. "She spent countless man-hours constructing a bi-weekly report of our division's budget status, which provided leadership with a real-time visible product that showed the sub-division status on spending and funds available." Colonel Calmels said. Sergeant Jenkins-Hill is extremely professional and conscientious and will always make the necessary efforts to deliver in time, he added.
