Air Force officials release name of second contractor killed in vehicle accident

The second civilian contractor who died in a single-vehicle accident on the Nevada Test and Training Range Aug. 4 has been identified by Air Force officials here Aug. 6.

Sean Ryan, 34, was a resident of Las Vegas and native of Douglaston, N.Y.

Mr. Ryan and Curtis Fowler, 55, of Tonopah, Nev., were killed when a fuel truck they were operating rolled over at approximately 12:50 p.m. near the Tonopah Air Field located approximately 125 miles northwest of Nellis Air Force Base and 35 miles southeast of Tonopah, Nev. 

Both individuals worked for Trend Western Technical Corporation, a subsidiary of Del-Jen Inc. Trend Western is a subcontractor for CSC, which provides range support services under a contract with the 98th Range Wing at Nellis AFB.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time," said Col. John Montgomery, the 98th Range Wing commander.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
