'Today's Air Force' highlights recapitalization, modernization

This week's edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights the recapitalization and modernization of the Air Force. While the Air Force is undergoing a force-shaping process to reduce and merge its resources, a special focus is on the restructuring and utilization of available assets which are essential to the nation's security.

And for many, returning home from a deployment is a reward in and of itself. See a couple of Airmen who were pleasantly surprised when recognized fo their dedication and service to our country.

The 30-minute, weekly news show can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel, American Forces Radio and Television Service stations around the world, and is available via podcast at http://www.af.mil/library/podcast.asp. The show also airs on more than 100 public cable-access stations within the United States.
