Keeping the compound safe
Airman 1st Class Christian Concepcion keeps a watchful eye on local nationals as they move sandbags on Ali Air Base, Iraq, to help fortify buildings in case of an attack. Airman Concepcion, a services specialist with the 99th Services Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., is currently deployed working outside of his career field as a member of the 407th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron's Force Protection Flight. FPF Airmen monitor local and third country nationals to detect suspicious activity, augment security forces during increased force protection conditions, and monitor and maintain installation security measures.
