The highest enlisted member in the Air Force made a stop here to talk with America's warfighters.

Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Rodney J. McKinley discussed topics affecting Air Force members now and in the near future, but a major priority for the chief is the upkeep of the Air Force's quality of life.

Chief McKinley got a taste of the single Airmen's lifestyle by visiting a few dormitory rooms. The chief looked at the overall condition of the dorms and talked with the Airmen about their time spent in Italy. He also visited the chapel's dorm, where Airmen can find a relaxed environment with Internet access and coffee.

"We have a great quality of life in the Air Force, and that's why we've been able to recruit such good Airmen coming in," Chief McKinley said. "Dormitories, unaccompanied and accompanied housing, child care centers, fitness centers, dining facilities, all this -- we keep our standards very high."
