Bagram team parks 2,000th transient aircraft
Tech. Sgt. Michael Leach and Staff Sgt. Gordon Torrey drive a "follow-me" truck to guide a C-17 Globemaster III to its parking spot at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, Sept. 2. The C-17, from the 62nd Airlift Wing at McChord Air Force Base, Wash., was the 2,000th transient aircraft to land at Bagram for Air Expeditionary Forces 1 and 2, which began May 7. That number equates to an average of 17 aircraft transiting Bagram daily. Sergeant Leach is deployed from Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and Sergeant Torrey is from Pope AFB, N.C.
