Air Force names 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year Published July 11, 2005 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- Air Force officials have selected the service's top enlisted Airmen, naming the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2005.An Air Force selection board at the Air Force Personnel Center here considered 45 nominees who represented major commands, direct reporting units, field operating agencies and air staff agencies. The board convened in May and selected the 12 based on superior leadership, job performance and personal achievements.The winners are:-- Senior Master Sgt. James Davis from Langley Air Force Base, Va.-- Senior Master Sgt. Anthony Rittwager from McGuire AFB, N.J.-- Master Sgt. Douglas Isaacks from Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland.-- Master Sgt. Robert Liles from Lackland AFB, Texas.-- Tech. Sgt. Michael Harris from Kadena Air Base, Japan.-- Tech. Sgt. Paul Schaaf II from Moody AFB, Ga.-- Staff Sgt. Sean Belding from Robins AFB, Ga.-- Staff Sgt. Amber Mitchell from Patrick AFB, Fla.-- Staff Sgt. Terrence Raybon from Travis AFB, Calif.-- Staff Sgt. Scott Tamayo from Hickam AFB, Hawaii.-- Senior Airman John Lockheed from Kingsley Field, Ore.-- Senior Airman Amber Turek from Hurlburt Field, Fla. The Airmen will be honored during the Air Force Association Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition in Washington in September.
