Officials announce selections to captain

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) --
The captain promotion process selected 848 lieutenants out of 856 for promotion to captain.
The results of the CY04D Quarterly Captain Selection Process are as follows:
In-the-promotion zone:
-- 733 line officers were selected from 737 considered for a 99.5 percent selection rate.
-- 10 chaplains were selected from 10 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 34 judge advocate generals were selected from 34 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 38 nurse corps officers were selected from 39 considered for a 97.4 percent selection rate.
-- 18 medical service corps officers were selected from 18 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 12 biomedical science corps officers were selected from 12 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
Above-the-promotion zone:
-- Two line officers were selected from four considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- One chaplain was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- No nurse corps officers were selected from one considered.
