Air Force ROTC detachment commanders' board meets Nov. 8

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- The Air Force ROTC detachment commanders’ board, originally scheduled for Sept. 8, has been rescheduled to Nov. 8 at the Air Force Personnel Center here.

The board will select Air Force ROTC detachment commanders for July 2005 reporting dates.

Lieutenant colonels and colonels interested in applying must submit their nomination packages to Air Education and Training Command by Oct. 31 at: HQ AECTC/DPAOD, 1850 First St. W. Suite 1, Randolph AFB TX 78150-4308.

A recent change in policy by the Air Force chief of staff allows a limited number of rated lieutenant colonels to apply for Air Force ROTC detachment commander positions. All officers must be released by their AFPC functional manager before submitting a package.

Application instructions and a list of vacancies for lieutenant colonels can be found on the AFPC officer special-duty assignments secure Web site at https://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/special_utilization/. Applications and a list of vacancies for colonels can be found at the Air Force senior leader management office secure Web site at https://www.dp.hq.af.mil/afslmo/afslmocm/. These are dot-mil restricted sites.

For more information about the application process, call Susie Andrews, of the AETC personnel directorate, at DSN 487-4180 or commercial (210) 652-4180. (Courtesy of AETC News Service)
