Tech. Sgt. Rusty Barfield reports on the planned addition of a C-17 Globemaster III unit at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, that will complement a buildup of air and support operations at Andersen AFB, Guam. Staff Sgt. Marty Rush is at Brooks City-Base, Texas, for a story on research being done on how to better manage fatigue in the Air Force during a period when operational tempo is increasing. Tech. Sgt. Joy Josephson-Spann and Staff Sgt. Kevin Dennison have a two-part report on unmanned aerial vehicles. Sergeant Josephson-Spann reviews the latest uses of the Predator and Global Hawk UAVs, and Sergeant Dennison looks at the future of UAVs in the Air Force inventory and their use as weapons carriers.Staff Sgt. Melissa Allan goes to New Boston Air Station, N.H., to report on a weapons-of-mass-destruction exercise involving base people and local and state emergency management services. Staff Sgt. Leigh Bellinger is in Arizona with a story on a reserve component test center where workers have improved the accuracy of fighter armament. In Pennsylvania, Tech. Sgt. Bill Scherer shows the transition of an air operations center into a weapons center for the Air Force. Finally, Tech. Sgt. Pachari Lutke accompanies three sons who go to Hawaii to accept the remains of their father, an Air Force pilot shot down over Vietnam more than 30 years ago. Sergeant Lutke goes inside the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command’s Central Identification Laboratory at Hickam AFB. She also accompanies the family to Nashua, Iowa, where Col. Lester Holmes is finally laid to rest, exactly 35 years from the day when his aircraft was hit.Air Force Television News is a biweekly production of Air Force News Service.
