Reserve promotions announced

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced Sept. 4 the results of 2004 Air Force Reserve line and health professions lieutenant colonel promotion selection board. They selected 741 officers for promotion.

The boards convened at the center June 23, and board members reviewed the records of more than 1,504 majors.

The results of the fiscal 2004 Reserve line and health professions board are:

Selection statistics in the promotion zone:

-- 286 line officers were selected from 423 considered for a 68 percent selection rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

-- 12 medical corps officers were selected from 15 considered for an 80 percent selection rate.

-- 50 nurse corps officers were selected from 72 considered for a 69 percent selection rate.

-- Eight medical service corps officers were selected from 14 considered for a 57 percent selection rate.

-- 11 biomedical science corps officers were selected from 16 considered for a 69 percent selection rate.

Selection statistics above the promotion zone:

-- 74 line officers were selected from 230 considered for a 32 percent selection rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from nine considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

-- 12 nurse corps officers were selected from 42 considered for a 29 percent selection rate.

-- Three medical service corps officers were selected from five considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

-- Three biomedical science corps officers were selected from 12 considered for a 25 percent selection rate.

Selective Reserve position-vacancy selection statistics:

-- 190 line officers were selected from 344 considered for a 55 percent selection rate.

-- Three dental corps officers were selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

-- Four medical corps officers were selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.

-- 15 nurse corps officers were selected from 27 considered for a 56 percent selection rate.

-- Nine medical service corps officers were selected from 15 considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

-- Five biomedical science corps officers were selected from nine considered for a 56 percent selection rate.

Other-than-Selective-Reserve selection statistics in the promotion zone:

-- 40 line officers were selected from 117 considered for a 34 percent selection rate.

-- No dental corps officers were selected from three considered.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from 21 considered for a 14 percent selection rate.

-- No nurse corps officers were selected from one considered.

-- No medical service corps officers were considered.

-- No biomedical science corps officer were selected from one considered.

Other-than-Selective-Reserve selection statistics above the promotion zone:

-- Seven line officers were selected from 92 considered for an 8 percent selection rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- No medical corps officers were selected from 17 considered.

-- No nurse corps officers were selected from two considered.

-- No medical service corps officers were considered.

-- No biomedical science corps officers were selected from three considered.

Promotion effective dates are dependent on the individual’s date of rank and time in grade.
