Shawn Williams, a terminal attack controller from Detachment 1-1 in Friedberg, Germany, checks grid references prior to establishing communications with an F-15E Strike Eagle pilot from the 48th Fighter Wing at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, during a live weapons drop at a South African range. A terminal attack controller assists in mission planning and provides final control of aircraft supporting ground forces.
