The Offutt Air Force Base Airman and Family Readiness Center is scheduled to host an Emergency Family Assistance Center March 21 and 22 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Approximately 20 Offutt AFB members and their families were displaced from their homes due to the flooding impacting Offutt AFB’s surrounding communities.

The event will feature helping agencies such as A&FRC, Air Force Aid, Military and Family Life Counseling, Red Cross, legal assistance, first sergeants and chaplains.

“The A&FRC will stand-up an ‘abbreviated EFAC’ in support of members impacted or displaced by the flood,” said Chief Master Sgt. Sharon Wilde, 55th Force Support Squadron. “Members can receive information, care and support.”

At the EFAC, members will also be asked to update their Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System information and complete a needs assessment to ensure support is provided throughout the entire process.

“A list of resources and phone numbers where members can receive additional assistance outside the gates will be available,” Wilde said. “This will be particularly helpful for Offutt (AFB) civilian employees.”
