1,318 selected for promotion to major, lieutenant colonel, colonel Published June 29, 2014 JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) -- The Air Force selected 1,318 captains, majors and lieutenant colonels for promotion, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced June 27. Eligible officers were considered during the CY14A Colonel Line of the Air Force Judge Advocate, Lieutenant Colonel LAF/LAF-J and Major LAF-J central selection boards held in March. The boards considered 147 lieutenant colonels, 7,323 majors and 85 captains for promotion.
