Latest Airman magazine issue now available

  • Published
The July/August issue of Airman magazine is now available to download and viewable through a Web browser.

Our cover story, titled “The Perfect Edge” takes you into the forests of Washington state to learn how survival, evasion, resistance and escape students learn to survive in austere environments before they teach aircrew members to do the same.

Also in this issue is “Recruiting Las Vegas,” where a flight of recruiters is tasked to bring more people in the Air Force than any other in the service.

On the other side of the country, at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., we show you how Airmen of the 6th Security Forces Squadron Marine Patrol keep the base’s 7.2 mile coastline secure: They don’t use typical squad cars, but high-powered boats.
