Personal Profile:
MSgt Gaud-Torres joined the Air Force on 18 Jan 1995 as a 2M0X1 – Space & Missile Systems Electronics Technician. His first duty station, Minot AFB, North Dakota, became his home for 8 years. While at Minot AFB, he was selected to be part of a multi-agency counter-drug task force and an exchange program with the US Navy’s missile submarine force. From there, he PCS’d to Vandenberg AFB, California (7 years). He deployed to Balad, Iraq in 2005. MSgt Gaud-Torres served augmenting the Army’s Force Protection program. During the deployment, he was injured by a vehicle borne IED. After surgery, recovery, and therapy, he rejoined his squadron until 2010. At that time, it became apparent that he would not be able to perform his duties as a maintainer and was allowed to retrain as a 1N1X1 – Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. He married wife Alexandra (“Alex”) on 2 August 1997. They have been blessed with the 3 most beautiful daughters anyone could ever ask for, Alexis (15), Alexandria (12), and Alexia (11).
