Eligible active-duty officers and Department of the Air Force appropriated-fund civilian employees can apply for intermediate and senior developmental education opportunities beginning in March.

The civilian application window opened March 2, and applications are due to the Air Force Personnel Center no later than May 1. Officer nominations, with senior rater endorsements, will be accepted beginning March 9, and are due to AFPC no later than March 27. Selection results will be announced in November.

Various opportunities exist for interested officers and civilians.

Intermediate programs include the Air Command and Staff College, Air Force fellowships, sister/international service intermediate development programs and more. Senior programs include Army War College, Air Force and National defense fellowships, Air Command and Staff College with an Air War College follow-on, sister/international service senior development programs and more.

Requirements and eligibility vary depending on the program, and submission requirements differ for officers and civilians, so applicants should carefully review force development information available on the myPers website before preparing application documents.
