Wildland fire chemical products undergo performance testing at the Missoula Technology and Development Center (MTDC) in Montana. The U.S. Forest Service evaluates fire retardants, foams, and gels at the center to ensure they meet strict specifications for safety, environmental impact, and effectiveness.
